Creek Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir is the sole grape of French red Burgundy,
one of the world's most exquisite and sublime wine styles.
It only reaches its full potential in a few other special
cool climate regions around the globe, such as Tasmania.
Selected Pinot Noir clones, 2051 and 8104, are planted
in ancient soils that filled the valley millions of
years ago. The fruit was de-stemmed, fermented and then
matured in top quality French oak barrels. The nose
shows varietal black cherry, red berries and plum with
notes of forest floor and toasted oak. The palate displays
typical Tasmanian pinot characters of black cherry and
spice, hints of chocolate, and earth, good acid structure
and balance, finishing with fine grained tannins. A
vibrant, rich, smooth and seamless wine that captures
Pinot Noir's magical capacity to interplay ripe, sweet
primary fruit characters with spicy, savory, gamy, earthy
elements. Enjoy with a multitude of food match ups,
from specialty mushrooms, through quail and duck to
brie and quince paste. This wine opens up with breathing,
so uncork early or decant.

Creek Cabernet Merlot
The blending of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot is a traditional
marriage in the famous French region of Bordeaux, the
home of these two very noble red grape varieties. This
wine demonstrates the synergy that exists between these
two varieties that produce the classic dry red style
also known as 'claret'. Cabernet Sauvignon provides
the framework and taut structure, Merlot gives succulent
texture and fleshes out the middle palate. The Merlot
from this single site vineyard is shaping up to be something
very special, displaying great depth and richness. The
Coal River Valley is one of Tasmania's premium wine
growing regions that consistently fully ripens Cabernet
Sauvignon, while at the same time retaining the classic
cool climate varietal characters, of cassis and elegant
herbaceous complexity, that make Bordeaux wines a world
benchmark. The two varieties combine to create this
sublime red that is the perfect partner for the finest
cuts of lamb. Immediately appealing, it has the structure
to reward cellaring.
